FILM FLORIDA ELECTS 2012-2013 OFFICERS;
LEAH SOKOLOWSKY NAMED PRESIDENT OF ORGANIZATION
Film Florida recently elected its new slate of officers for 2012-2013. Leah Sokolowsky was named President. Leah, a Broward-based Location Manager/Scout representing the organization’s Industry Council, takes over the post for the first time.
The other Executive Board officers elected are:
1st Vice President – Michelle Hillery, Palm Beach County Film Commission
2nd Vice President – Judson C. French, Jr., Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts
Secretary – Julie Balter, SAG/AFTRA
Treasurer- Jennifer Parramore, St. Petersburg/Clearwater Film Commissioner
At Large – Andy Schefter, Florida Film Production Coalition
Past President – Jennifer Pennypacker, Women in Film and Television
Additional board members include the Film Commission Council: Sandy Lighterman, Miami-Dade Office of Film and Entertainment– Chair; Sheena Folwer, Orlando Film Commission – Vice Chair; Bonnie King, Space Coast Film Commission – Secretary and Alternates: Maggie McCarty, Collier County Film Commission; Todd Roobin, Jacksonville Film Commission and Tom Roush, Pensacola Film Office.
The Association Council elected Thomas Mitchell of FMPTA as Chair; Patricia Arias of Camacol as Vice Chair and Richard Seres as Secretary/Alternate. The Industry Council Elected Carol Bressi-Cilona of Insurance Office of America and Liz Morgan of Liz Morgan PR as Co- Chairs; and Prashant Shah of Bollywood Hollywood as Alternate.
The Labor and Education Council election results are pending.

I’ve been so involved with Film Florida and its legislative efforts, and am so proud at what we’ve accomplished in providing pro-active leadership in our state’s industry,” said Sokolowsky. “I want to not just continue to move forward with initiatives that are already underway, but want to put new goals in place as Film Florida grows and thrives.”
Film Florida is a not-for-profit corporation that provides a leadership role in Florida's film and entertainment industries by representing a coalition of interests, including private industry, local film commissions, industry associations, education and labor organizations.
