The Film Florida Legends Award

Film Florida, a not-for-profit corporation that provides a leadership role in Florida's film and entertainment industries by representing a coalition of interest, including private industry, local film commissions, labor organizations and industry associations, announced that beginning in 2006, they would annually present an award to an outstanding industry leader and recognize that person at a ceremony coinciding with their annual meeting.

The 1^st Annual Legends Awards were held on Tuesday, June 27 in the Miami Design District's historic Moore Building. Film Florida was honored to award Ricou Browning, (Creature from the Black Lagoon, Flipper, Gentle Ben) as the first recipient of this honor.

The 2^nd Annual Legends Awards were held on Thursday, June 7 at the Stumps Supper Club at Channelside in Tampa. Film Florida was honored to award Jordan Klein, Sr. and Egon Stephan, Sr.
